Classic! Reminds me of a game show in the states years ago called "Super Password". Teams have a secret word that must be guessed using one word clues related to the secret word. I think Bart Convey was the host.
Secret word to be guessed: Deer
Giving hint word: Buck
Partner answers : Owens
Sencond hint: Doe
Partner answers : Knob

I didn't know the first one - the second is "Valance" and I think the third is the the Stuart family, but not 100% positive on that one.
